Also known as Pirogue Bay (Baie des Pirogues), Saint-Joseph Bay in the south of the Isle of Pines is home to a construction site for canoes (pirogues) made from kohu wood or pine. If you decide to go for an outing in one of these traditional boats, you might be lucky enough to spot turtles, rays or dolphins.
