Pitch your tent in a typical Great South setting at the edge of a black sand beach in magnificent Port-Boisé Bay!
On Port-Boisé bay, in the Caledonian Great South, Natacha Atiti, tourist guide and a daughter of the Yaté region, has been opening her confidential campsite to travellers since 2011. Ten pitches, five of them sheltered, line up in the shade of coconut palms along the black-sand beach, each one with a barbecue corner. Sanitary facilities are shared, and tents can be rented on the spot. Right next door, the Bagnards trail follows the sea and bears witness to the forestry past of the area at the time of the penal colony; the campsite runs guided hikes on this trail and on the kanak hut trail, and rents kayaks to explore the bay. Cap N'Dua and former thermal springs are reachable from the site. Remember to book the table d'hôtes. Book your stay.
