Description
On Saturday, July 4th, Coconut square hosts the 7th edition of "Nouméa fête ses quartiers". A great family and festive gathering from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the heart of the city center to celebrate New Caledonian culture.
In the heart of the city center, Coconut square comes alive to bring together the residents and associations of the capital. This day of community excursion highlights local know-how through numerous free creative workshops, including flower crown making, traditional braiding and painting. The event offers a culturally immersive rhythm: a choral opening at 9 a.m., coconut scraping contests, a grand festive parade at 2 p.m., and a hip-hop battle finale to close the festivities. A dedicated early childhood space and sports challenges like archery await families. It is the ideal opportunity to learn about the activities offered throughout the year by the City. Come and celebrate the richness and diversity of our New Caledonian community.
