Discover Green Island and the best surfing spots just 20 minutes by boat from La Roche Percée in Bourail!
Piloted by Manu, the Nekweta taxi-boat takes you out to Green island, a protected islet classified as an integral reserve. It's a place for swimming, snorkelling among the reefs and unwinding in the shade of casuarinas and martaouis trees. Walking around the island takes about half an hour. Nekweta also runs a shuttle to the reef's best surf spots and to the mouth of the Néra river when the swell is strong, in an area whose waves rank among the top twenty in the South Pacific, around the Bourail channel. The “bonhomme” is located near the entrance to La Roche Percée beach and can be accessed directly from the Three Bays car park or from the beach. To get there from Nouméa, take the first turn on the left after Néra Bridge and then drive for about 10 minutes before turning left.
