On the occasion of the Fête de la Musique, Noumea comes alive with a range of free and diverse concerts. Local and amateur artists take over Place des Cocotiers for a festive, friendly evening open to everyone.
As it does every year, the Fête de la Musique brings Nouméa to life with a vibrant line-up of free and eclectic concerts. This must-see event celebrates musical diversity by bringing together both amateur and established artists across some of the city’s most iconic locations.
Place des Cocotiers becomes the heart of the festivities, hosting numerous live performances in a lively and friendly atmosphere. Rock, pop, reggae and even electro – all styles are represented for the enjoyment of a wide audience.
At the same time, other venues also take part in the event, including Noumea Cathedral, which hosts a concert in a truly unique setting, offering a special musical experience.
Open to everyone, the Fête de la Musique is an invitation to discover, share and celebrate the richness of the local music scene.
2026 Program:
- Place des Cocotiers: Youth stage at the bandstand from 2 pm to 4 pm, with stages at Place de la Marne and Place de la Paix from 4 pm to 10 pm.
- Polyclinique Park, Anse Vata: Pace association from 2 pm to 4 pm.
- Sainte-Marie Urban Park: Everysing school from 3 pm to 6 pm.
- Saint Joseph’s Cathedral: Choir performances from 5 pm to 9 pm.
