Whether you are a nature lover or looking to get away from it all, you will be charmed by this discreet place located in the heart of the city. Ideal for enjoying the sunsets, Mont Vénus is also a bucolic setting between multicoloured butterflies and freshly planted young trees. Located on 4.5 hectares of municipal land, a path laid out with stairs allows walkers to enter the dry forest. The trail also offers many viewpoints over Nouméa.
"It's a very rich place considering that we are in an urban environment. Some species have disappeared, but we make discoveries regularly,” says a volunteer from the Dry Forest Association of Mont-Vénus.
