In [To be confirmed] (tribe/municipality), the E Nga Ta Vuu association, founded by Eliane Atiti, has supported women's emancipation within Caledonian tribes for around ten years. Three pillars shape its work in Province Sud: food self-sufficiency, preservation of ancestral skills and the creation of cultural bridges. Every Saturday morning, the local produce and seafood market doubles as a coconut leaf weaving workshop: baskets, hampers, hats and other creations take shape in the hands of the women, who are the keepers of this craft passed down through generations. A large faré opens onto a panorama of the Great South lagoon and hosts group meals built around local produce in New Caledonia. Book your visit or your meal.
