Dzumac Tour

Thirty minutes from Nouméa, Dzumac Tour takes you in a 4x4 buggy into the heart of the Dzumac massif, between forests, rivers, mountain tracks and panoramas. Comfortably seated in buggies driven by experienced guides, you enjoy the landscape without worrying about driving. The only operator approved by the Southern Province, Dzumac Tour benefits from privileged access to protected zones usually closed off, such as the Haute-Dumbéa reserve, the Dumbéa park and the Côte Oubliée park. The routes follow former mining and forestry tracks, punctuated by stops to watch local wildlife, endemic flora and traces of Caledonian history. Organisation • Tours are led by a French/English bilingual guide. • Departures are organised from Dumbéa (exact meeting point provided at booking). • Activities are offered in small groups for a more personalised experience. Access conditions • Activity suitable for participants between 1.30 m and 1.90 m tall. • Good physical condition required – some routes may be technical. • Minors must be accompanied by an adult (maximum 2 minors per adult). • Maximum total weight per buggy: 350 kg for 3 passengers. • Not recommended for people with vertigo or specific medical conditions (medical advice recommended). Safety • Seatbelts mandatory and noise-reduction helmets provided. • Two-way radios in each vehicle. • First-aid trained guides equipped with an emergency distress beacon. Recommended equipment • Comfortable clothing suitable for dusty outdoor conditions: closed shoes, long or sturdy clothing, sunglasses, hat or cap. • Bring sunscreen, water bottle, warm layer and rain jacket. • Limited storage space: one small backpack per person maximum. Environmental care • Non-smoking, zero-waste tours – bins provided in each vehicle. • No collection or removal of plants, animals, minerals or fossils.
