THE WANAMAT’ SHOW
Alone on stage—but definitely not in her head—old Pa Kutroine, a petite Kanak woman from Maré, shares the half-fantastical, half-realistic journeys of her many children, their quest for roots, and their absurd clashes with the modern world.
Without warning, old Pa Kutroine sweeps us away to the crossroads of today's world and Kanak culture, where nickel mines and yam fields collide. She delivers a hearty dose of laughter paired with a profound look at the complex relationship between tradition and modernity.
