The Defi Wind Pacific Ocean is an international long-distance windsurfing competition bringing together professional riders and enthusiasts for an exceptional sporting challenge in the heart of New Caledonia's lagoon. Inspired by the famous Defi Wind held for more than twenty years in Gruissan, France, this iconic board sports event is part of the Defi Wind World Series.
In a spectacular natural environment, participants set off on long-distance courses powered by the trade winds and the unique sailing conditions of the world's largest enclosed lagoon. The race tests competitors' technique, endurance and strategy, offering an impressive spectacle on the water.
The event brings together renowned international athletes as well as local riders, confirming New Caledonia's position as a major destination for board sports in the Pacific.
