Explore some of New Caledonia’s most beautiful birdwatching spots in the company of a passionate guide!
Winner of the 2019 Tourism Trophies, Isabelle Jollit, a passionate birdwatching guide, offers guided tours in the Great Ferns provincial park, as well as in Parc Provincial de la Rivière Bleue and on the Loyalty islands of Ouvéa and Lifou. You watch and identify birds, particularly the endemic Caledonian species — cagou, notou, black honeyeater — with bird-call listening and the patience required for photos. Several formats are available: four-hour or eight-hour discovery outings, plus expert tours that cover all terrestrial endemic birds, depending on the season: Mainland circuit over a minimum of three days, New Caledonia and Loyalty islands circuit over a minimum of five days. For expert circuits, contact Isabelle by email. Book your outing.
