An arboretum is a specialised botanical garden, usually designed as a landscaped area. It presents many species of trees or plant species in the form of collections in order to show off the best of the large fern park.

Located in Farino within the South Province, this botanical trail in the Great ferns provincial park offers an accessible nature walk for all fitness levels to discover New Caledonia's rainforest. The established itinerary allows visitors to closely observe endemic plants and centuries-old trees preserved in their natural setting. Our educational trail features informative signs, making it ideal for families and friends to learn about local biodiversity. Visitors can walk at their own pace through the lush greenery, photograph the wild landscape, and listen to forest birds. This tour is a must do to understand the natural heritage of the Mainland.
