At the heart of a lagoon listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, just a few minutes by taxi-boat from the La Roche Percée and the Néra estuary, Green Island is a genuine jewel surrounded by the splendid double-barrier reef that is such a prominent feature of the region.

Green Island is a nature reserve belonging to the special marine reserve of Bourail. Known as one of the nesting places of the green sea turtle, the island is also a perfect spot for snorkelling. However, this requires certain precautions.

The character of the island as a reserve means, of course, that all forms of fishing, collection or harvesting are forbidden… When we set foot in a little piece of paradise, it deserves our respect!
