When you hear the name Houailou, it is usually in the context of the delicious lychees produced in the area. When you visit this part of the East Coast, however, you will notice other treasures, including the Bâ waterfall.

Located a few kilometres north of the village, the Bâ waterfall is an ideal site for lovers of nature. Hikers crossing the region’s trails will also be happy to take a refreshing break on its banks. The flow of the water can be impressive, and helps to give this waterfall a dizzying dimension.

During the warm season (from October to May!) you can swim in the pool. Given the heat that can take over the region, this is particularly welcome news!

Not very far from the waterfall you can also see the ruins of several abandoned buildings. These are part of a former bleach factory!
