Follow the legendary GR® Nord on a one-day trail adventure: loop routes mixing iconic GR sections with tracks opened especially for race day, including a family-friendly option. A genuine “bush & tribe” experience—nature, culture and good vibes.
The GR Nord Raid – Tchamba Edition is back with a raw, authentic trail experience in New Caledonia’s Far North. Designed as an individual trail event, it blends iconic GR Nord sections with tracks opened especially for the day, for a true off-the-beaten-track run in a customary setting.
Run by Challenge Organisation, the event is as much about the journey as the finish line: a warm tribal welcome, a friendly on-site atmosphere, and that special mix of nature, culture and challenge that makes the Far North unforgettable.
Three loop-style courses are announced, catering to different levels—from keen trail runners to families—while keeping the spirit of exploration front and centre:
Grand Raid: around 22 km (with a section on the GR Nord)
Mini Raid: around 10 km
Family course: around 3 km, within the Tchamba area
To round out the experience, the organiser highlights an on-site camp option (free camping), plus basic facilities and a food area. For the timed races, a post-race meal and a woven gift basket are included. Childcare may also be available on site (subject to confirmation by the organiser).
Course maps / elevation profiles are still to come, pending final recces.
