Dumbéa Festival, best known for its famous Giant Omelette, is a family-friendly community event celebrating local life through entertainment, activities, exhibitors and shared traditions.
Held over two days, the Dumbéa Festival brings together more than 80 exhibitors from the retail, services, arts and crafts, fairground and tourism sectors, alongside local associations and city teams who help bring the event to life.
Visitors can enjoy a broad program of free sporting, cultural and artistic activities, as well as a funfair area with around twenty rides and attractions for kids and adults alike. Throughout the festival, food stalls serve a variety of flavours, while market stalls offer a wide range of products and souvenirs.
The event also features live entertainment across two stages: a main stage showcasing dance performances and music groups from Dumbéa and beyond, and a smaller stage dedicated to emerging local talent and karaoke.
The highlight of the festival is the famous Giant Omelette, prepared on Sunday with 12,000 eggs and venison sausage before a crowd of curious onlookers. Each year, it is shared with nearly 4,000 people and remains one of Dumbéa’s most iconic traditions.
