In Farino, on the edge of the Great ferns provincial park, Lodge Terre de Soleil cultivates a flower-filled garden where Séverine and Nicolas welcome their guests. Five bungalows with distinct atmospheres are tucked into the Caledonian greenery, each fitted with a terrace and private spa. The only background sound is birdsong and wind in the trees. The hosted table opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with cuisine built around local, seasonal produce from Province Sud. The municipality, a pioneer of green tourism in New Caledonia, makes a fitting base for rainforest walks. Please note: children under thirteen are not accommodated.
