Every evening from 7 to 11.30 p.m., the city centre becomes a magic world of light sculptures and light shows, beneath your feet, on buildings and in the trees. Light show inauguration on 16 December at 7.30 p.m. in the presence of Nouméa’s mayor Sonia Lagarde.

The Town Hall, City Museum, Céleste Fountain and Bandstand will shimmer in breathtaking glory by Oceania New Caledonia for over ten days, and 388 projectors and nearly 1 km of fairy lights will turn trees, bushes and shrubs all over Place des Cocotiers into a forest of light.

On Christmas Eve, Santa rides in on his enchanted sleigh and Nouméa’s mayor hands over the Town Keys to the Big Man.

Monday 1st January 2018 at 8 p.m.
The City of Nouméa greets 2018 in style with a breathtaking firework display launched from Sainte Marie islet on New Year’s Day: a non-stop extravaganza lasting 20 minutes! A dazzling firework spectacular to rival the best in the world... absolutely unmissable.
