The Second World War as lived by New Caledonians.

  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 9am to 1pm, and 2pm to 5pm. Closed on public holidays.

The museum, housed in the half-moons opposite the former hospital, presents how the period was experienced by New Caledonians.

This museum was very interesting. The history of the area during World War 2 was very well presented in this museum. There was an included audio tour in English which was very informative. Read full review

Interesting perspective re the 20,000 New Zealanders who served in New Caledonia in WWII along with a million Americans. If not fluent in French use the complimentary Audio Guide. Read full review
