While Paris is home to some of the world’s best restaurants, Nouméa is definitely the haute-cuisine hub of the South Pacific, with over 150 restaurants catering to all tastes and budgets.   • Au P’tit Café: According to locals this restaurant is “one of the best in town”. The food is modern French at heart with local influences it’s fresh, vibrant and very locally sourced.
  • Restaurant Le 1881: A beach-side restaurant that enjoys a rich history - it is located in the grounds of the former penal settlement dating back to the late 19th century. The restaurant serves modern French-Pacific cuisine and has an extensive wine list.
  • Le Roof: Dining at Le Roof is an experience in itself. This overwater bungalow-style restaurant offers a mix of New Caledonian and French cuisine with a gorgeous ocean outlook.
