Discover the history of Bourail and the region.

  • Open to the public from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm. Public holidays, open mornings only. Closed 1 January, 1 May, 24 September and 25 December.

Located in the old convict prison’s « supplies store », the Bourail Museum will take you through the history of the area, from the petroglyphs, the Orôwé and Neku tribes, the agricultural prison and the guillotine, through to the presence of the New Zealand troops during the Second World War. Total immersion in order to fully understand this beautiful region.
