5 October, 2018:  New Caledonia was revealed as the location of this year’s The Bachelor Australia finale last night, with Nick Cummins and the two final Bachelorettes jetting off to the stunning French paradise in the South Pacific for romantic dates and the final rose ceremony.

Director of New Caledonia Tourism in Australia, Caroline Brunel, said The Bachelor Australia was the perfect way to highlight the natural beauty, warm hospitality and unique blend of French and Melanesian culture that make New Caledonia the ultimate setting for a romantic escape.
“No matter the outcome of the final rose ceremony, I have no doubt that after seeing the luxurious Sheraton New Caledonia Deva Spa & Golf Resort, the views over the UNESCO World Heritage-listed lagoon and barrier reef, the magnificent sunsets and picturesque beaches – that Australians will fall in love with New Caledonia,” said Brunel.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our partners Air Calin, Marriott International and all of the local suppliers in New Caledonia that worked with us to show off this little slice of paradise to Australians.”

Accommodation: Sheraton New Caledonia Deva Spa & Golf Resort
Nick, the Bachelorettes and his family all stayed at the luxurious Sheraton New Caledonia Deva Spa & Golf Resort with Nick himself staying in a Superior Beachfront Bungalow.

Featuring unique architecture influenced by local Melanesian culture, Nick’s standalone bungalow had a private terrace for him to relax and take in the uninterrupted views of white sand and sparkling waters.

Back inside the bungalow - natural light, fresh white walls and wood floors highlighted the vibrant locally inspired accents and offered a contemporary and comfortable place for the Honey Badger to stay.

The resort is set upon 13 kilometres of white sand beach and has 176 comfortable guestrooms, an outdoor swimming pool with a jacuzzi, a beautiful Deep Nature Spa in between lagoon and forest with a duo treatment room, day beds to relax on the beachfront, kids club and two delicious restaurants on property.

Also offering access to horse riding, hiking, snorkelling and kayaking in the surrounding area - the resort is the perfect place for couples looking for a romantic getaway.
