Go back in time with a visit to Fort Teremba, an old penal colony in New Caledonia.

Located in Moindou, 128 kms from Nouméa, discover and learn more about the former penal colony at Fort Teremba, which was classified as an historic monument in 1989. Inside Fort Teremba there is a permanent exhibition giving the history of the site.

When driving North you will pass Fort Teremba, this is a great stop for an hour on your journey. A standing history lesson and very friendly staff. Very cheap to go in. Read full review
